Voicethread.com

This voice thread is students talking about a Velasquez painting. It is an awesome example of describing and analyzing art in great detail. When writing about art in your IWB be detailed and know that personal thoughts and ideas are key. Listen to these students to get an idea of what I am talking about. Also remember the "cheat sheet" in your student handbook. Pick a piece of art and practice writing about it in your IWB. Make sure to include your own interpretation!

Hola.
Velasquez was the official painter of the royal court during the 17th century. this is his most well known painting and it is housed in the Museo del Prado in Madrid Spain. If you are travelling to Madrid over Spring Break, this is a painting you'll get to see up close!

Did you figure out if the guy in the doorway is entering or leaving??
