Art Educators of Iowa/ Des Moines Art Center All-State Art Camp June 14 – 18, 9 am – 5 pm Des Moines Art Center 4700 Grand Avenue Tuition $350 ($280 Art Center members) Limit 15 students Students must apply to be accepted

The Art Educators of Iowa and the Des Moines Art Center invite energetic and motivated young artists to participate in the eighth annual All-State Art Camp. This camp is especially designed for students interested in pursuing the visual arts in college and those preparing portfolios for the Art Educators of Iowa Art-State Art Competition. Students entering grades 10 – 12 in the fall of 2010 are eligible. Art Center visiting artist Tracy Duran teaches an introduction to figure drawing a nude model and Art Center faculty member Catherine Dreiss teaches an introduction to intaglio printmaking. Critiques and information on portfolio preparation are scheduled.
