Happy Holidays!

Greetings IBers! How is your vacation? What fun things have you done? How is your studio project progressing? Is there anything I can help with? Do you have a work in progress picture to share?

For some clarification, are we supposed to be done with our projects on Monday?

I had some other questions....though I sent them to your school e-mail address.

For our new IWBs, do we restart the page numbering or do we continue from the first book? Do we still leave 3 pages? When are we creating our table of contents?

You do not need to be done with your projects until the critique date which I believe is Thursday and Friday. Refer to your hand out to be sure. You will need to bring in your project to school on Wed. to display for critque. Think about how you are going to display your work and why you are making such choices.

Yes you need to restart numbering for your new IWB. 3 pages? Do you mean for your table of contents and title page for your new IWB? You create your table of contents when you complete an IWB. It would be a good idea to reflect on the IWB you have just completed on the last page. Think about what you have learned, what worked, didn't work and what your goals are for your next IWB.

Thanks :)
It really clears things up for me.

Mel, I can not get on my work email. I will try again Friday.

No need, I think all my questions were covered in the first two comments.

On another note, I've checked a couple sources and the terms 'art mediums' and 'art media' both seem legitimate

Is there any particular way you wanted us to do the TOC?

For your first IWB do what makes sense to you. :) Don't ya just love when I do that to ya?!?!?

Should we email you our artist's statement for the studio work, or do we just bring it in to the critique?

Mel, Did you number your new sketchbook yet?!?! I was thinking that it would be better to continue the numbering rather than starting over.

Mirza, you should email it to me by Wed. (or sooner)! :) How is your studio project looking?

Well, I finished my studio project a couple of days ago... It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be but it still was challenging. I really like the way it turned out... of course nothing is the way you think it is going to turn out... but I like the result. :)

I'm having trouble coming up with a way to parallel my two pictures (so that they look the same). Is there any chance I can come in during lunch/afterschool to use your projector?

Actually, I might not need to.
I have an edited pix of the part I've done in paint. It's up on my gallery (http://gallery.me.com/melodyj). It's actually black and white. The paper is rather thin and frail on the ends though, which concerns me.

Mel, what gallery is it in?

Art. Near the end. It's where I generally post my art stuff.

It's titled "Memorial Day: Paint Edit". It added a sepia tone on the computer and cropped it just to show the painted portion (there's a lot of negative space)
